The Post Quiz: Songs from the Movies

A 1950s Rocker outside a Drive-in Cinema

Speaking of the 'soundtrack of our lives': lots of us like to go to the movies. We hear music there. Some of it is, well, a soundtrack. Sometimes, the movie is a musical, or it's a dance film that features music. In the 50s, 60, and early 70s, however, a lot of 'straight' films featured songs that became hits. When you hear the song, you often remember the movie where you heard it.

How many of these hit songs can you place on the silver screen? Match the titles to the movies that made them famous.

Song Movie
Raindrops Keep Falling
on My Head
 Ben Hur
Moon River Bridge on the River Kwai
If You Wanna Sing Out,
Sing Out
 The Graduate
Mrs Robinson Breakfast at Tiffany's
Colonel Bogey March Harold and Maude
Star of Bethlehem The Thomas Crown Affair
Windmills of Your Mind The Sterile Cuckoo
Come Saturday Morning Billy Jack
One Tin Soldier Captain Carey, USA
Mona Lisa Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

How did you do? Stop humming those tunes, and click on the film strip for the answers.
